The Baltimore Business Journal is reporting that the UFL has signed a deal with PR agency who's general retainers range from 4K-10K monthly. Personally I think it's a great start, but they could really use some help from a few online agencies that I know with regards to Social Media and SEO.
I'll be the first to admit that I was stoked to hear there was going to be a new league and having started conversations online about it months ago; I've seen some great traffic numbers. There are a few stories out there, but sites like www.uflaccess.com and this one www.unitedfootballleagues.com, both have been instrumental in driving buzz and keeping awareness to moves over at the league.
One thing I've noticed is that instead of taking a stand and squashing guys like me there using us to help spread the word and online buzz. Honestly I haven't put anything out there that's really ground breaking, just catching the news and posting my thoughts. If you're listening Mr. Huyghue; give me or LevelTen Interactive a call I know a thing or two about getting that search traffic!

advertising
I too am super excited to see another football league start this fall. However, games start in one month and there is very little advertising going on for the league. Except for hardcore football fans, who really knows that there is another league starting this fall? Not too many. I really thought there would be small commercials on t.v. or some advertisements in sports and gaming magazines, but so far I haven't seen anything. I really want this league to succeed, but they need to be a bit more proactive in promoting their product.
