The United Football League looks to still be moving forward even with the continually economic downturn. I think the down turn only strengthens the efforts of the league as it gives fans an alternative to extremely overpriced NFL tickets that simply feed the egos of players and owners. While I probably won't get to see a game for a few years as the point for me would be to see professional football without extreme expense, I'd have to travel out of town, possibly out of state and that just cuts into the budget.
I did get an email informing me of their new site launch and while it's nice, from a design standpoint I hope they plan to offer much more in the way of interaction; I guess we'll see.
Also, with 2009 just around the corner; here's a list of the scheduled events and how they pertain to the success of the UFL.
January 2009 – UFL Player Evaluation & Signings
Mid April 2009 – UFL Draft
June 2009 – Mini Camps Begin
August 2009 – Training Camp Begins
Late August 2009 – Pre-Season Games
Early September 2009 – First Official Game
Late November – Championship Game
